A tweet was also made by the Indian High Commission in this matter and an appeal was also made to the Canadian authorities to investigate the matter.

The mayor of Brampton in Canada has also given a clarification in this matter. Along with this, the police administration has also clarified the situation. Following reports of vandalism at Sri Bhagavad Gita Park in Brampton, Canada, the police administration has clarified that there has been no vandalism in Sri Bhagavad Gita Park.

Police say that the park has been inaugurated recently. In this case, a temporary signboard was used for the naming ceremony of the park. On the other hand, the mayor of Brampton tweeted that no such incident had happened.

This park was recently unveiled in Brampton. Earlier this park was known as Troyers. A few days back it was renamed as ‘Shri Bhagavad Gita’ Park and was unveiled on 28 September.

Significantly, this incident comes 10 days after the advisory was issued, in which Indian citizens and Indian students were asked to take precautions at all times. Because, ‘hate crime’ and anti-India activities have increased here. There are 1.6 lakh Indians and NRIs living in Canada. There have been two incidents of attacks on Hindu temples this year. A mural in a temple was vandalized on 15 September.
