Government collected 147686 crore GST revenue in September

GST Collection September 2022: Break the record for the seventh consecutive month GST deposit (GST collection) has been done. There has been an increase in the GST tax collection for the month of September (September 2022). More than 1.4 lakh crore tax has been deposited in the month of September. More than 1.40 lakh crore GST tax collection has been done in seven consecutive months. This is a record breaking GST collection. The government has collected GST revenue of Rs 1 lakh 47 thousand 686 crore in the month of September.

Record breaking GST collection for the seventh consecutive month

In August 2022, the total GST tax collection crossed Rs 1.49 lakh crore. GST tax collection of Rs 1,48,995 crore was done in July 2022. Earlier in the month of June, 1 lakh 44 thousand 616 crore GST tax was collected. The tax collection for the last seven months is more than 1.40 lakh crores.

According to the data released by the Finance Ministry on Saturday, the total GST collection in September stood at Rs 25,271 crore from CGST, Rs 31,813 crore from SGST and Rs 80,464 crore from IGST. This also includes an amount of Rs 41,215 crore imposed on the import of goods.

Highest GST collection from Maharashtra in the month of August

1,43,612 crore GST was collected in August 2022. In August 2022, GST tax was Rs 24 thousand 710 crore, SGST was Rs 32 thousand 951 crore. The GST collection in the month of July stood at Rs 1,48,995 crore.
