FIFA ban on India: The International Football Federation (FIFA) has suspended the All India Football Federation (AIFF). The hosting of the Under-17 World Cup (FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup) in India is also in danger due to the suspension of FIFA. After this move of Fika, a hearing was held in the Supreme Court today. The court has directed the central government to take action to remove this suspension of FIFA and the government should try to organize the Under Women’s World Cup to be held in India in October.

A hearing was held in the Supreme Court on Wednesday regarding the matter related to FIFA. During this hearing, the central government told the court that the Sports Ministry is in constant touch with FIFA and efforts are being made to resolve the matter at the earliest.

A bench headed by Justice Chandrachud heard the matter. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, on behalf of the Central Government, said in his argument that a meeting has been held between the Sports Ministry and FIFA, some things have progressed and the discussion is still on.

During the hearing, Justice Chandrachud said that the country should get the benefit of the tournament (FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup). He said that the focus of the central government should be on resolving this issue. The Supreme Court has directed the central government to resolve the matter at the earliest. The Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing of this matter till next Monday (August 22).

Football in India is controlled by the All India Football Federation. FIFA has suspended the All India Football Federation saying it is now completely under third party control. FICA said that India will remain suspended till its constitution comes into force.
