The New York Attorney General initiated a lawsuit after Donald Trump and his family were accused of fraud; Donald Trump labelled it a “witch hunt.”
New York. The three children of Donald Trump have been charged. As a result of an investigation into their New York-based family business, the Trump Organization, the Trump family has been charged with fraud. A BBC story claims that Donald Trump has been charged with inflating the worth of real estate to qualify for loans and avoid paying taxes. The Trump Organization allegedly perpetrated many frauds between 2011 and 2021, according to the prosecution. Trump, though, has consented to a “witch hunt” in this case.
Along with the former president and his three eldest children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric Trump, two Trump Organization employees, Alan Weiselberg and Jeffrey McConkey, were identified as defendants.
New York’s attorney general brought the claim.
After a three-year civil investigation, the case was filed by Letitia James, the attorney general of New York and the top state prosecutor. James said in a statement that Donald Trump had abused his access to billions of dollars in assets to enrich himself and subvert the system with the cooperation of his children and top Trump Organization personnel. They claim Donald Trump has a Trump Tower condominium valued $327 million (£288 million). It was one of the attributes whose values were purportedly exaggerated.
Twitter is here Donald Trump Jr., though, has referred to it as a political rivals’ trap. In an interview in August, Donald Trump declined to discuss the civil inquiry.
