Karachi A man in Pakistan set his 12-year-old son on fire for not doing his ‘homework’. According to the media report ‘Don’, on September 14, a man named Nazir had set fire to his son’s body by spraying kerosene on his son’s body in Orangi town. On the complaint of the child’s mother, the father has been arrested and a case has been registered against him. The boy, who was seriously scorched, died during treatment at a local hospital.

The accused was produced before a magistrate on Monday and the court remanded him to police custody till September 24. Reports said that during preliminary investigation, accused Nazir told investigators that he had no intention of killing his son.
