Married women and mothers will also get their share!
it could start next year
New York. There can be a big change regarding the stakeholders in the Miss Universe pageant. Now married women and mothers can be allowed to participate. It is being told that it will probably start with the 72nd Miss Universe pageant in the next year i.e. 2023. Until now, only virgin women were allowed to participate in this competition held for women all over the world.
According to a report in Indian Express, the new format will be implemented for the 72nd Miss Universe pageant in 2023. Now married women and mothers will also be eligible to participate in the competition. Whereas according to the current rules, women to participate in Miss Universe must be unmarried. A woman who has won the Miss Universe title cannot marry until a new winner is crowned. It’s not like the winners of the Miss Universe pageant are expected not to get pregnant during this time.
The Miss Universe pageant is going to expand by allowing married women and mothers to participate. However, before the rules for Miss Universe were changed, only women between the ages of 18 and 28 were allowed to participate, who had never been married and had no children. However, the age limit will remain the same despite the change in the rules.
Not only a bouquet of flowers and a crown, Miss Universe’s haat is a priceless prize, overnight the caste is millionaires!
Mexican model Andrea Meza, who was crowned Miss Universe 2020, lauded the move. She said that there are many women who got married at a young age, had children in their early 20s and always wanted to compete in Miss Universe. But could not do so due to rules. Now women can start their career or advance themselves due to these changes.
