Commonwealth Games 2022: India has performed well so far in the Commonwealth Games 2022 being played in Birmingham. On Day 6 of the Commonwealth Games, Indian squash star Saurav Ghosal created history by winning a bronze medal in men’s singles. This is the first time that India has won a medal in both men’s and women’s singles squash at the Commonwealth Games. Saurav Ghosal defeated former England number one James Willstrop 3-0. Losing 11-6 and 11-1 in the second game, Sourav defeated Willstrop 11-4 in the third game to become the first Indian to win a medal in squash singles at any Commonwealth Games.
