Health crisis, unfavorable weather for agricultural yields, inflation and supply difficulties. Bonduelle saw its current operating profit fall by 3.7% to 96.6 million euros in its last annual financial year ended at the end of June. Net profit plunged 38% to 35.4 million euros. The group’s turnover amounted to 2.9 billion, up 4.1%. Restated for the activities sold during the year in the United States, the turnover is only 2.2 billion euros, the current operating profit of 52.8 million euros.

For Guillaume Debrosse, the group’s general manager, the decline in operating profitability is “limited” and linked in particular to the difficulties of the ready-to-use fresh business in North America. The division, Bonduelle Fresh Americas, had to deal with lower volumes in “a sluggish market, marked by inflation”. This division alone saw its turnover fall by almost 25% to 619 million euros.
