There is a sad news related to Hollywood. Oscar winner Sidney Poitier has said goodbye to this world forever. Sidney Poitier died at the age of 94. The actor has worked in great films like ‘To Sir with Love’, ‘In the Heat of the Night’ and ‘Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner’. Sidney was known not only as a good actor, but also as an activist who participated in the civil rights movement for black people in America.
Fans, including celebrities, mourn the death of Sidney Poitier. Former US President Barack Obama (former US President Barack Obama) expressed condolences by tweeting. He wrote, “With his powerful roles and extraordinary talent, Sidney Poitier reveals the power of cinema to bring us together. He opened doors to a generation of actors. Michelle and I send love to their families and fans ”
Also, Indian actor Anil Kapoor posted a picture with Sidney and wrote, “Sydney Poitier, my childhood idol, lifetime lie inspiration and star of my favorite movies, always your fans, tributes.”

Sidney Poitier was born on February 20, 1927, in Miami. He was raised on a tomato farm in the Bahamas. In 2009, Sidney Poitier was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by then-President Barack Obama. In the film The Heat of the Night, he played a black police officer who faces apartheid. This year he also played the role of a London teacher in the film To Sir, With Love.
