According to a report by news agency ANI, a police officer said that two car bombs hit Hotel Hyatt. One collided with the barrier near the hotel and the other hit the hotel gate. It is believed that the terrorists have managed to enter the hotel. Two intelligence officials on condition of anonymity confirmed the incident.

Al-Shabaab, an armed terrorist organization affiliated with al-Qaeda, has claimed responsibility for the attack. Security officials said that after the attack, a fierce encounter broke out between the security forces and the terrorists, who were still hiding inside the building.
