Meanwhile, schools in Mumbai MMRD Division will remain closed. School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad told Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in a meeting of the Education Department today that these schools would start from January 27 in the presence of genuine students. At this time, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray also suggested that students and teachers should take adequate care of the corona virus while starting the school.

In view of the decreasing cases of corona virus, the state government has given green signal to start schools from class V to VIII in the state from January 27. However, the final decision has been left to the local administration. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has given approval to start classes from 5th to 8th in the schools of the state. School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad said that these classes will be opened from January 27 with all the precautions related to Corona. He also assured the parents that there would be no disturbance in the health and safety of the students.

Meanwhile, as per the local situation, the local administration has to take a decision in this regard. Of course, for this all the previous rules like parental consent, RTPCR test of teachers will be applicable. In this regard, School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad has given information.

However, the Mumbai Municipal Corporation has decided to keep the schools in Mumbai closed till further orders. Schools in Mumbai Municipal Corporation limits remained closed till January 15. They will remain closed until further notice.
