In 2017, the business began producing iPhone phones in India in collaboration with Wistron, which produces the iPhone SE and iPhone 12. In the meantime, Foxconn is in charge of making the iPhone 13 in India.
According to the analyst, by 2025, production of every Apple product—including Macs, iPads, Apple Watches, and AirPods—will increase by 25% outside of China. It is thought that Taiwanese suppliers like Hon Hai and Pegatron had a key role in the production moving to India.
The first batch of the iPhone 14 is currently being produced in India and is anticipated to be finished by late October or early November. About 5% of the total iPhone 14 manufacturing is anticipated to come from the Indian production line by the end of 2022.
In related news, Tata and Wistron are reportedly in negotiations to establish a joint venture with the goal of producing iPhone phones in India. The agreement may enable Winstron to produce five times as many iPhones as it already does.
