America will fight with China over Taiwan, there may be heavy losses, read this special report

Washington. Tensions between China and the US over Taiwan are increasing after US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taipei. Meanwhile, China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) is busy conducting military exercises around Taiwan. At the same time, experts from the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) are escaping the US-China war on the island. It is clear from the continuing rhetoric between the US and China that the US can at least reach an impasse to stop China’s occupation of Taiwan. However, during this time both the countries may suffer heavy loss of ships, aircraft and people. CSIS will run 22 simulations this year, partnering with various defense experts, retired military officers and former Pentagon officials, and publish a report in December.

According to simulation staff, in 18 out of 22 rounds, the US destroyed approximately 500 aircraft, 20 surface ships and two aircraft carriers in each round. Such staggering losses have been unknown to America since World War II. Experts noted that the outcome of the battle varied from report to report, but what remained constant in all simulations was heavy losses on both sides. As previously reported by the Eurasian Times, according to a report by Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense (MND), the Chinese military is expected to be able to fight Taiwan and its allies by 2027. China announced its decision to invade Taiwan, and the US decided to come to the island nation’s defense.

Additionally, Japan, which has a base-sharing agreement with the US, does not actively participate in the conflict unless attacked directly. The White House, the office of US President Joe Biden, said after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taipei that China’s “threat and force” actions against Taiwan are fundamentally contrary to the goal of peace and stability. The US will take “calm and firm” steps to support the self-governing island.
