At least 2 people have died in this incident in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. The suspect who fired the shots has been identified as Ezekiel Kelly. Memphis police said a Facebook Live stream showed the suspected gunman entering a store and shooting people. According to the Memphis Police Department, the suspect in the shooting is a 19-year-old black male.
It is being told that this man named Ezekiel Kelly allegedly fired indiscriminately at people walking in the city of Memphis. Firing is taking place at many places in the city. According to a report in BNO News, the suspect shooter’s car later crashed. The suspect collided with a gray Toyota SUV while fleeing the scene. The driver of the Toyota SUV was injured in the accident.
According to a local media report, the suspect who carried out the firing is still absconding and a search operation has been launched. Police released a photo of him and advised Memphis residents to stay indoors until the matter is resolved. The University of Memphis has also sent a message to its students that a shooting has been reported near campus. Rhodes College, about 4 miles from the university, has also advised students to stay in safer places.
