Paltka Fire Rescue reported on Twitter that a shooting took place at Vic’s Supper Club on Saturday night. The agency tweeted that ‘many people have been shot. Several alerts were issued. The Paltka Police Department said in a post on Facebook that four people were shot and one person was attacked with a heavy object. Police said that two people died of bullet injuries and three others have been admitted to the hospital. Palatka Fire Rescue said on Twitter that it was responding to a shooting at Vic’s Supper Club on Saturday night. The agency tweeted that ‘many people were shot dead. This was followed by several trauma alerts. Several aerial medical helicopters have been deployed to rescue the injured.

Officials probing the matter say that there was an altercation between the two groups in a large group outside the club, which led to the firing. No immediate arrest has been made in this case. Those killed and injured could not be immediately identified. Details of any suspect are not available. Palatka is about 60 miles (96 kilometers) south of Jacksonville.
