Washington, US space agency NASA’s Artemis I, which failed to launch twice due to a hydrogen leak in Artemis 1, is ready to take off once again. According to a report by news agency IANS, NASA said in a statement that the problem of hydrogen leakage during the loading process with the Space Launch System (SLS) has been fixed by a team of engineers. At the same time, the demonstration test also tested the loading of propellant into the rocket tanks, operation of the kick-start bleed and pre-pressurization tests.

NASA said in a tweet that a liquid hydrogen leak has been managed during Artemis I’s cryogenic exposure test. The launch director also confirmed that all objectives of the cryogenic risk test have been met, and that the teams have begun the complex process of lowering the rocket’s tanks.

Will launch after seeing the weather
Learning from previous weather-related delays, NASA will assess test data, along with weather and other factors, before confirming the next launch. “The rocket will remain in a safe configuration while teams assess next steps,” NASA said. With a possible backup opportunity of October 2 under review, NASA will attempt to launch its Artemis I Moon mission on September 27.

Let us tell you that on September 3, NASA attempted to launch Artemis I but it was aborted after liquid hydrogen leakage was detected. Earlier, on August 30, the US space agency aborted the mission launch for the first time due to a technical fault with one of the SLS rocket’s engines.
