Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) President Sanjiv Mehta said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched 5G services today. 5G is another important step in the economic journey of the country. 5G will make it easier to do business. In addition, 5G services will revolutionize the digital space. Agriculture, disaster management, healthcare, education, logistics and transportation, fintech, industry sectors will get a boost. Also, this will be a big step for self-reliant India.

FICCI Director General Arun Chawla has termed 5G as a generational leap. “5G is a generational leap and can help increase the contribution of the telecom sector to GDP from the current 6.5 per cent to 8-9 per cent. 5G services will give a massive boost to the digital ecosystem of the country. End-to-end -end service delivery to socio-economic progress in the country,” Chawla said.

Rahul Sharma, chairman of the IT / ITeS committee, also said that 5G is important for the country. “Today is an important day for India. 5G is a leap in the future that will bring opportunities and information to all, Sharma said.
