1300 years old treasure was found in the stomach of the sea, not gold and silver, diamonds, pearls; 200 different items from the monasteries

New Delhi: The wreckage of a ship was found in the sea. Interestingly, several well-preserved ancient ships have also been found in the wreckage. About 1300 years old objects have been found from these ships.

The ship was found off the coast of Israel. According to the explorers, the ship was loaded with cargo from various Mediterranean regions. These ships are proof that even after the establishment of the Islamic Empire in the 7th century, people from Western countries used to come to this place for trade. The exact cause of the sinking of the ship is yet to be ascertained. The merchant ship was discovered by Magan Michael, an existing Israeli coastal community.

Reports suggest that the ship dates to a time when the Christian Byzantine Empire in the eastern Mediterranean was falling and Islamic rulers were gaining power in the region.

Marine archaeologist Deborah Siwickl said the ship may be from the 7th or 8th century. There is evidence that trade was going on in this Mediterranean region at that time despite religious divisions.

It is generally stated in history books that trade in the region was stopped after the expansion of Islamic rule. At that time there was no international trade in the Mediterranean Sea. But, now it doesn’t seem so. We have a big ship. We think the ship will actually be 25 meters long, Deborah also said.

Artifacts found near the ship suggest that the ship may have come here from Cyprus, Egypt, or it may have come from Turkey. It must have come here from the coast of North Africa.

The coast of Israel is said to have been littered with sunken ships for centuries. It is easy to collect information about ships here, as the water level in this area is low and the sand surface protects the artifacts.

For the current search, searchers have found 200 masts in this vessel. This includes Mediterranean foods such as fish sauce and a variety of olives, dates and figs. Personal items such as cords and combs, as well as the remains of some animals, have also been found in the mound.
