The Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro models are widely expected to launch at a launch event which is confirmed to be hosted live by Xiaomi on October 4 at 7:30 PM IST. The Chinese manufacturer confirmed the event via a tweet on Xiaomi’s official global Twitter handle. Xiaomi teased the launch event with the tagline ‘Make Moments Mega’. The launch event will be streamed live on Xiaomi’s Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok and all social media handles on the official website. The Xiaomi 12T Pro is tipped to launch with a 200-megapixel rear image sensor. The event could also see the unveiling of the Redmi Pad along with other product launches.

Meanwhile, tipster Evan Blas (@evleaks) earlier tweeted leaked renders of the Xiaomi 12T Pro and Xiaomi 12T which revealed the speculative full design of the upcoming smartphones with identical designs. The renderers suggest that the upcoming Xiaomi 12T Pro may feature a 200-megapixel triple rear camera setup with LED flash and a center-aligned hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera. Meanwhile, the rumored design of the Xiaomi 12T includes a 108-megapixel triple rear camera setup with LED flash; And the same hole-punch cutout on the front display.
The Xiaomi 12T Pro and Xiaomi 12T may have a power button and volume rockers on the right side. At the bottom, the handset may have a USB Type-C port for charging, a speaker grill and a SIM tray, the leaked renders suggest. At the top, the phone is expected to come with a secondary speaker grill and a noise-canceling microphone next to the Harman Kardon branding.
According to leaks and renders, the Pro variant will be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, while the 12T 5G variant will have a MediaTek Dimension 8100 SoC. Both the smartphone variants are expected to ship with a 5000mAh battery and 120W fast charging support while running Android 12-based MIUI 13 out-of-the-box and sporting a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The Xiaomi 12T Pro is expected to start at EUR 849 (approx. Rs. 66,600) in Europe, while the Xiaomi 12T is said to be priced at EUR 649 (approx. Rs. 51,000) in Europe, according to a previous report.
