NFT Tribute Project for Queen Elizabeth II Opens For Final Auction Following Her Demise

Britain’s longest-reigning Queen Elizabeth II died peacefully in her sleep on the afternoon of September 8. Following the Queen’s death at the age of 96, the NFT Tribute Project dedicated to the King has been opened for final auction. Based on the Ethereum blockchain, this NFT project is called ‘Quenai’. The project was first launched in July this year and produced a batch of NFT artworks dedicated to the Queen. This project is created by Web3 creator Fabio Seva.

The NFTs from the QueenE project feature pixelated portraits of the Queen, wearing her signature color-coordinated head accessories and outfits.

Following news of Queen’s passing, the QueenE Project announced that the auction for the collection’s 73rd NFT would be the last digital collectible to be part of the original collection.

The project has also changed its Twitter bio which now reads – “Rest in Ethereum, forever.”

Currently, the top bid for this NFT auction is ETH O.6615 at $1,121 (approx. Rs. 89,300).

According to this auction’s webpage, final bids will be considered on Friday, September 9.

Meanwhile, secondary selling of QueenE NFT has increased in the last twelve hours.

Currently, the floor price, or the cheapest price for QueenE NFT ON OpenSea ETH is at 0.5 which adds up to $848 (approx. Rs. 67,500).

The makers of the QueenE project have also hinted at a future ‘Gen2’ collection, the details of which are unknown as of now.
