La mesure pourrait aboutir à favoriser des voitures importées de Chine, comme la Dacia Spring.

Allow low-income households to access an electric car for 100 euros per month: with this promise made during the electoral campaign, Emmanuel Macron had reconciled ecological emergency and concern for purchasing power. But taking action is proving to be extremely complicated, which is reflected in the vagueness with which the measure is mentioned in the 2023 draft budget presented on Monday.

“A new leasing scheme will be launched to enable low-income households to acquire and rent an electric vehicle under affordable conditions,” the press kit simply states. The figure of 100 euros is no longer put forward.
