The birth of Bhagat Singh and the launch of Google search engine on this day 27 September in history

Mumbai: Many important events have happened in the month of September in history. September 27 is historically significant in many ways. Raja Ram Mohan Roy, the father of modern India, died on this day on 27 September 1833. Along with this, Merumani Bhagat Singh of Indian revolutionaries was also born on this day. 1833 – Death of Raja Rammohun Roy

Raja Ram Mohan Roy is called the ‘Father of Modern India’. Raja Rammohan Roy was instrumental in starting many reforms in Indian society. Raja Ram Mohan Roy opposed the practice of Sati in Bengal and stopped the inhuman practice. He opposed the practice of polygamy. He also tried to stop the dishonest practices in the society.

Raja Rammohan Roy i.e. opposed idol worship and evils in Hinduism. He supported monotheism. He was a staunch supporter of equality between men and women. He founded the Atmiya Sabha to promote social reforms. He started a social and religious movement by founding the Brahmo Samaj. The British recognized his work and gave him the title of Raja. Raja Ram Mohan Roy died on 27 September 1833.

1907 – Birthday of Bhagat Singh

Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, popularly known as Merumani of Indian revolutionaries, was born on this day i.e. on 27 September 1907. He had a patriotic family background. The Jallianwala Bagh massacre on 13 April 1919 affected his mind so much that he vowed to drive the British out of the country.

Bhagat Singh along with Chandrashekhar Azad founded the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA) on 9 September 1925. The main objective of this organization was to overthrow the British government through armed revolution. Lala Lajpat Rai died in 1927 when he was attacked by the British while opposing the Simon Commission. In retaliation, Saunders was killed by Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru.

He opposed it even though he was in the custody of the British. Later Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev were charged with the murder of Saunders. On March 23, 1931, India’s greatest revolutionaries, freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev were hanged by the British government.

1996 – Taliban capture Kabul

The Taliban captured Kabul on 27 September 1996 under the leadership of Mohammad Omar. The Taliban then overthrew the democratic government in Afghanistan and established a government in Afghanistan. Then after the 26/11 terrorist attacks in the US, the US invaded Afghanistan to eliminate Osama bin Laden and overthrow the Taliban government.

1998 – Google search engine was founded

Google, a search engine, was founded on this day, September 27, 1998, by Larry Page and Sergei Benn, two PhD students in the US. Today Google search engine is used to find information about anything in the world. The invention of Google search engine is a revolutionary invention in the field of technology.

2020- President Ram Nath Kovind assent to Agriculture Bills

On 27 September 2020, the then President Ram Nath Kovind had approved three controversial agricultural laws during the Modi government. The Modi government had passed three bills in the Parliament to amend the Agriculture Act. The farmers of Punjab and Haryana opposed this Agriculture Act. This movement lasted for more than a year. Ultimately, under the pressure of this movement, the Modi government withdrew those controversial bills.
