When the market opened today, there were signs of buying momentum. The beginning of trading in the stock market was mixed. There was a slight decline in the Sensex. In the market, Bombay Stock Exchange’s index Sensex opened 23 points down at 57,403 points and Nifty rose 8 points to 17,102 points. At 9.30 am, the Sensex was trading at 57,253.84, down by 173 points. At the same time, Nifty was trading at 17,050.60, down 43 points.

There was a fall in Bank Nifty today. The IT index also saw a decline of 0.4 per cent. The impact of international market developments is visible on metal stocks and continues to fall. Media, pharma, realty, healthcare and oil and gas sector stocks are seeing a rise.

On the Nifty, ONGC rose 5.28 per cent, NTPC 2.04 per cent, Apollo Hospitals 1.86 per cent, Coal India 1.60 per cent and BPCL 1.35 per cent. Apart from this, the shares of Cipla, Reliance Industries, UPL and Sun Pharma are showing gains.

The shares of Hindalco, Titan, JSW Steel, Maruti, Adani Enterprises etc. are showing a decline. IndusInd Bank is also seeing a decline of one percent.

Market rally on Friday

The Indian stock market remained bullish on Friday even after the RBI hiked the repo rate by 0.50 percent. After the announcement of monetary policy by RBI, there was a big rally in banking stocks. Bombay Stock Market Index Sensex (Sensex) closed 1016.96 points higher at 57,426.92 points. Meanwhile, the national stock market index Nifty closed at 17,094.30, up 276.20 points.
