Navratri 2022: Sharadiya Navratri (Sharadiya Navratri 2022) Kushmanda Devi is worshiped on the fourth day, telling the story of the goddess as the birth of the universe. What is the form of Goddess? And what is his legend?

In Navratri, the fourth form of Goddess Bhagwati is known as Kushmanda. Goddess Kushmanda mesmerizes the whole world with her smile. She is the ancestor of this universe, hence she is called Kushmanda. Ku means small, Ushma means hot and Anda means the universe was born from her divine seed, hence the name of the goddess Kushmanda.

When there was no creation, there was darkness all around, Devi created the universe with her ‘divine’ smile. Therefore, the goddess is said to be the primal form of the universe.

The goddess resides within the solar system. The fact that the goddess resides inside the solar system, which you cannot even see for a moment, suggests that her luminosity is many times greater than that of the Sun. The brilliance of the goddess is as bright as the rays of the sun. The brilliance of the goddess is incomparable. Dasha directions are covered by this glow. All living beings in Brahmananda are influenced and enlightened by the radiance of the Goddess.

The goddess has eight arms. Hence Kushmanda Devi is also known as Ashtabhuja. The seven hands of the goddess hold kamandala, bow, arrow, lotus, nectar-filled urn, chakra and kada respectively. The eighth hand holds a rosary which bestows all accomplishments and wealth. Devi is seated.

Maa Kushmanda is worshiped on the fourth day of Navratri. On this day the mind of the seeker becomes stable in the Anahata Chakra. With a very pure and disturbed mind, the Goddess should be fixed on the square of the mind and should be remembered continuously. Worshiping this goddess removes the sorrows of the devotees. Diseases disappear. Devotion to the Goddess leads to increase in life, success, strength, health. Even a little service and devotion pleases Goddess Kushmanda. It is believed that if a person takes refuge in the Goddess with an empty mind, he gets the grace of the Goddess and automatically attains the position of Padma after death.
