These two people had pitted against each other in the last Lok Sabha elections. Sanjay Kaka Patil contested the Lok Sabha elections from BJP and Gopichand Padalkar from Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi. Both had criticized each other during the election campaign. But the workers of both the groups are happy because these two leaders have come together forgetting all this past.

MP Sanjaykaka Patil testified that there was never and never will be any difference of opinion between me and MLA Gopichand Padalkar in politics. But for the last few months, both were meeting on the same platform. However, on the occasion of Padalkar’s birthday, Anil Patil brought both of them on stage and publicly showed that the two arch-rivals had come together and settled the dispute between the two.

No person is a permanent enemy or friend in politics. Sanjay Kakani said that Gopichand Padalkar is a good leader and we will continue to enhance political friendship through development by bringing both central and state government funds to Sangli district as well as Atpadi taluka. So for the development of Atpadi taluka and district, Sanjaykaka Patil and I will work together and bring huge funds from the central and state governments. Gopichand Padalkar said that both of us will keep trying to bring every inch of land of Atpadi taluka under Tembhu scheme.
