The company’s ‘Diwali With Me’ launch announcement has teased the Redmi A1 launch in India. The phone was earlier spotted on several certification websites as well as benchmarking sites. According to a report, the Redmi A1 may be powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 SoC. This code name is said to carry ice. The handset appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) database with a slightly different model number than its US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) listing.
The Beijing-based smartphone brand shared via Twitter that the company will soon unveil the products in India as part of its ‘Diwali With Me’ launch. In the post, Redmi said, “PS Like yesterday’s match, we are ready to knock this one out of the park with us. A1 versatilewith the term “A1 All-rounder” in block italics, suggesting that the Redmi A1 could be part of the ‘Diwali With Mi’ launch.

However, this should be taken with a pinch of salt, as Redmi has yet to reveal the full product range. Redmi has already announced that it will unveil the Redmi 11 Prime 5G in India on September 6 as part of the ‘Diwali With Mi’ launch.
As per earlier reports, the Redmi A1 has been spotted on multiple certification websites and the Geekbench benchmarking website. It appeared on the US FCC database with model number 220733SL. The listing suggests that the smartphone will be powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 SoC. It is said to measure about 164.67 mm in length and about 76.56 mm in width. The Redmi A1 may reportedly support 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
According to reports, the smartphone also appeared on TUV Rheinland and BIS India databases. The Redmi A1 was listed in the BIS India database with model number 220733SI, which is slightly different from the ones listed on the US FCC and TUV Rheinland databases. The Geekbench listing of the phone has allegedly indicated that it could sport a quad-core SoC with 3GB of RAM.
