September 21: If it was also decided in the Congress session held in Udaipur that a person would have only one post, would he step down as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan after becoming the President? Such a question was asked to Gehlot. He said that the presidential election is an open election, anyone can contest it. As far as one person, one post is concerned, it is for nominated posts. Since then, even after becoming the President, there was talk that Gehlot would not leave the post of Chief Minister nor would he hand over the post to any leader of his party.

September 22: Ashok Gehlot met Sonia Gandhi. This meeting lasted for two hours. At this time, Sonia Gandhi said that the election of the Congress President will be free and fair. She will not support any candidate. Nor will she give personal approval to anyone. At the same time, Sonia Gandhi also said that one person, one post will come only after nomination and result.

23 September: Ashok Gehlot met Rahul Gandhi. After this it was seen that his tone had changed somewhat. He said that he would contest for the post of president. Along with this, he also indicated that after becoming the President, he will give up the post of Chief Minister. Gehlot had said that for the post of President, justice will have to be done by working across the country. In such a situation, work cannot be done in two positions. Actually, a day ago when Rahul Gandhi was asked about one person and one post, he said that it was decided in the meeting of Congress in Udaipur, I think, it should be accepted by all.

September 25- when the displeasure
During the debate on making Sachin Pilot the Chief Minister in Rajasthan, about 82 MLAs of the Ashok Gehlot camp came out in the open. These MLAs submitted their resignations to the Governor. After this, when Maken and Kharge reached Jaipur to meet the disgruntled MLAs, they refused to negotiate with certain conditions.

What happened on September 25?

Rajasthan minister Subhash Garg said that in 2020, one of the 102 MLAs who supported Gehlot should be made the chief minister.

11 am: Ashok Gehlot left for Tanot temple with Congress state president Govind Singh. There is no network on the border, their phones are out of reach.

12 o’clock: The MLAs of Gehlot’s camp reached the house of Minister Shanti Dhariwal.

1:30 pm:Supervisors Ajay Maken and Mallikarjun Kharge reach Jaipur, but are unable to speak to Gehlot.

3 o’clock – The MLAs of the Gehlot camp call a meeting at Dhariwal’s residence at 5 pm.

7.30 pm- The number of pro-Gehlot MLAs increased at Dhariwal’s house.

12 o’clock at night Maken and Kharge tried to talk to the disgruntled MLAs one by one, but the MLAs refused to talk on their own terms.

The MLAs again put three conditions for talking to the high command.

First- decide on the post of Chief Minister after October 19.
Second- not one, talk to the MLAs of the group.
Third- The Chief Minister of Rajasthan should be from Gehlot’s camp.

3 o’clock – Both the observers held a meeting with Sachin Pilot.

What happened on 26th September?

11.30 am: Ajay Maken called the meeting held at Dhariwal’s house indiscipline.

1.30 pm: Gehlot reached the hotel to meet Maken and Kharge. But Maken left for Delhi without meeting Gehlot. However, Gehlot did meet Kharge.

at 2 pm: Kamal Nath was called to Delhi by the party high command. It is said that Kamal Nath was called to mediate between the MLAs of the Gehlot faction and the Pilot faction.

On Monday evening, Maken and Kharge met Sonia Gandhi and informed her about the entire incident. Although Sonia Gandhi had sought written information from both the leaders.
