Congress observers Ajay Maken and Mallikarjun Kharge, who returned to Delhi, submitted their written report to Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday evening. It has recommended action against Shanti Dhariwal, Mahesh Joshi and Dharmendra Rathod, close aide of Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, for allegedly breaching discipline on Sunday. Congress High Command has issued show cause notices to three MLAs.
On the notice, Rajasthan government minister Pratap Singh Khachariawas said that disciplinary action should have been taken against those who went to Manesar in 2020. The MLAs are ready to accept the decision of Sonia Gandhi, he said that we do not want to fight with our own people. If a senior leader like Dhariwal has raised issues, the party should look into them. He said that Sonia Gandhi has decided to nominate Ashok Gehlot for the post of Congress President.
