PlayStation Plus’ monthly free games for October 2022 have been announced. The games will be available to subscribers of the PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Deluxe/Premium plans starting next week. On October 4, PS Plus members will get access to racing game Hot Wheels Unleashed, side-scrolling superhero fighter Injustice 2 and smash-hit FPS Superhot. These titles can be added to your PS Games library until October 31st, after which you’ll need to hold onto your subscription to play them.

PS Plus October 2022: Hot Wheels Unleashed
Collect vehicles, build spectacular tracks and unleash your toy cars in this arcade sim based on the Hot Wheels universe. Players can compete against others in two-player split screen or online multiplayer and earn rewards for coming out on top and unlocking more cars — fully customizable with attachments like paint jobs and tire rims. Once you’ve raced, jump into creation mode where you can create mini courses with loops, special boosters and obstacles to stun your opponents. Hot Wheels Unleashed will be available to play on PS4 and PS5.
PS Plus October 2022: Injustice 2
The creators of Mortal Kombat return to the DC Universe with an expansive cast of iconic superhumans, as they clash in epic-scale battles. The sequel, Injustice 2 expanded on Superman’s insane tyranny arc, while adding gameplay improvements such as the gear system, which provides character-specific costume pieces and status-changing effects. The primary mechanics, however, retain the side-scrolling fighter approach with over-the-top special moves similar to Fatalities in the MK universe. Injustice 2 will be available to play on PS4.
PS Plus October 2022: Superhot
Blurring the lines between strategy and pure mayhem, Superhot throws you into a polygonal arena, outnumbered and outgunned, as you pick up weapons left to slice and maneuver through slow-motion bullet attacks. In this universe, time only moves when you do, with a single-hit death mechanic that forces you to strategize every step of the way. Superhot will be available to play on PS4.
Sony also reiterated that all PlayStation Plus members have a few more days — until October 3 — to add the AAA racing title Need for Speed, Granblue Fantasy: Versus and the indie gem tome to their library. These are the three free games that were announced for September.
PlayStation Plus subscription in India starts at Rs. 499 per month for essentials, Rs. 749 per month for additional plan, and Rs. 849 per month for the top-tier Deluxe. Monthly free games are included with all three tiers.
