The RN is not used to doing lace. On the eve of the return to parliament, Jordan Bardella worked to pound Emmanuel Macron. This Sunday, during the Grand rendez-vous Europe 1-Cnews-“Les Echos”, the interim president of the National Rally criticized the Head of State, re-elected five months ago against Marine Le Pen, for passing ” its time to contradict itself” and to “do everything despite common sense”.
In addition to the traditional theme of security (the team in power is, according to him, “unable to protect the French”), the MEP has advanced his pawns on two main fronts. First the pensions. While Emmanuel Macron instructed Elisabeth Borne to prepare a text “before the end of the year”, Jordan Bardella accused the executive of placing the country “each time before impossible equations”, castigating “pure madness” and denying an “imminent threat” to the system. “We are looking for 9 billion. Social aid paid to foreigners in France is 12 billion. To govern is to choose,” he said.
“Party from Abroad”
Second angle of attack: energy. Deeming the images of the Prime Minister in a down jacket or Bruno Le Maire in a turtleneck “ridiculous”, Jordan Bardella criticized Emmanuel Macron for having “collapsed” nuclear power “without any reason, simply under pressure from the Greens”. The government “says” it wants to relaunch the civilian atom “after having done the opposite”, he mocked, referring to the closure of the Fessenheim power station. He also criticized him for not taking measures that would allow the French “to warm up this winter”, namely the reduction to 5.5% of VAT on fuel, electricity, gas and fuel oil.
In the same vein, MEP RN once again criticized ineffective energy sanctions against Russia but “painful for the French people”. The results of the referendums organized by the master of the Kremlin in the east and south of Ukraine, brandished to annex these territories, are however “a farce that should obviously be denounced”. After the Russian intervention, her ideological convergence with Moscow had earned Marine Le Pen numerous criticisms. “The foreigner’s party is […] the presidential majority, ”replied Jordan Bardella, citing in particular the McKinsey controversy or the reception of Vladimir Putin at Versailles in 2017.
Favorite in the race for the presidency of the RN against Louis Aliot, Jordan Bardella said he was convinced that “after Emmanuel Macron, it will be us” at the Elysée. “The challenge is to prepare for the alternation,” he explained, posing as the best placed to pave the way for Marine Le Pen’s victory. Anxious to cajole the members of his party, he in any case took care to spare the one who has already sought the supreme magistracy three times: “His candidacy in 2027 is obvious. »
