Protest banned in Delhi, patrolling of paramilitary forces in Jamia Nagar
Police action has been taken against PFI in Delhi also. So far 32 people have been arrested from Delhi. Protests have been banned in many parts of Delhi. There is a possibility of hatching a big conspiracy in the name of strike-demonstration. A special alert has been issued in South-East Delhi. Demonstrations like torches and candle marches have been banned especially around Jamia University for the next 60 days. Section 144 has been imposed and action has been warned if the order is not followed. After the order of Delhi Police, Jamia University has also given a stern warning to the students. Paramilitary forces are patrolling in Jamianagar.
Big action in Karnataka too
Police action has also taken place in Karnataka. Action has been taken in Bidar, Kolar, Bagalkot, Vijayapura and Mangalore. Here 72 people associated with PFI have been detained.
More than 40 people have been detained in Maharashtra too.
According to the information received so far in Maharashtra, about 43 people have been detained from Aurangabad, Solapur, Amravati, Pune, Thane and Mumbai. This entire operation has been done by the local police of the state on the information of the central agency. At the same time, 5 to 6 people have been detained in a night raid in Kondhwa area of Pune.
A few days ago, in a massive crackdown against the PFI, teams from various agencies arrested 106 leaders and activists of the radical Islamist organization in nearly simultaneous raids in 15 states. 20-20 people were arrested from Maharashtra and Karnataka. At the same time, Tamil Nadu (10), Assam (9), Uttar Pradesh (8), Andhra Pradesh (5), Madhya Pradesh (4), Puducherry (3), Delhi (3) and Rajasthan (2).
