Maa Katyayani is worshiped on the sixth day of Navratri. It is believed that by worshiping Goddess Katyayani, devotees attain the four fruits of Artha, Dharma, Kama and Moksha. Mother Goddess was born in the ashram of Maharishi Katyayan. It is also said that at the time when Mahishasura’s tyranny had increased, the mother was born from the glory of Tridev.
