According to PTI quoting BCCI sources, Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup due to a back injury. The news of Jasprit Bumrah’s exit from the T20 World Cup has left Indian cricket fans disappointed.

Deepak Chahri
Deepak Chahar is also named along with Mohammed Shami in the list of Indian reserve players. Deepak Chahar was also selected as a reserve in the recently concluded Asia Cup. However, Avesh Khan’s health deteriorated and he was included in the team. Deepak Chahar bowled brilliantly in the first T20 match against South Africa. He scored 24 runs in four overs and took two wickets. The interesting thing is that Deepak Chahar can contribute in bowling as well as batting.
Umesh Yadav, Shardul Thakur also in race
Apart from Mohammed Shami and Deepak Chahar, Umesh Yadav and Shardul Thakur could also prove to be good options. After Mohammed Shami tested positive for Covid-19, Umesh Yadav was picked in the squad for the Australia and South Africa series. Umesh got a chance to play his first T20 match against Australia, in which he took two wickets. Umesh also has a lot of experience and can be effective on Australian pitches.
