Mankading controversy Deepti Sharma run out Wrong or right In the end, MCC gave the decision

Mankading Controversy: Deepti Sharma ने रनआऊट करणं चूक की बरोबर? अखेर MCC ने दिला निर्णय

England: The custodians of the Laws of Cricket of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) on Sunday put their stamp on Indian player Deepti Sharma’s run out of England’s Charlie Dean at the end of the bowling. England’s last batsman Charlie Dean (47) was run out by Deepti while overtaking the crease at the end of the bowling. This made India victorious.

Is Deepti Sharma ‘run out’ right or wrong?

Deepti’s run out was justified, but some England players still expressed their displeasure, but the MCC said on Sunday that there was nothing wrong with it. “It was an unusual ending to a really exciting match, in which the officials played their part.” MCC said in a statement.

The MCC has said that, ‘The MCC has told the batsmen at the non-striker end that the batsmen must remain at the crease until the ball has gone out of the bowler’s hand. These changes will be effective from October 1.

There have been many occasions in the past where players have made such a mess, but since then the ICC has classified it as a foul play. That is, getting out in this way was considered against the spirit of the game. But according to the rules it was correct. This type of run out was previously set out in Law 41.16.1 (Unfair Play).

Under 41.16.1, when the bowler feels that the batsman at the non-striker’s end is leaving the crease long before the ball is bowled, the bowler may run out the batsman. In this a no ball is recorded but the batsman is out.

But now the ICC has included monking in the run out rule (38) from Law 41.16.1. This means that from October 1, Mankading will not be against the spirit of the game and will be treated as a normal run out.
