Making Passport Easier, Apply Online for Police No Objection Certificate

Passport Police Clearance Certificate: Many Indians believe that making a passport is a time-consuming process. There are a number of processes that have to be passed to get a passport. In which police verification is also an important process. But now there is good news for the passport holders. The Ministry of External Affairs on Monday said that now passport applicants can apply for Police Clearance Certificate at all online Post Office Passport Seva Kendras.

Police clearance certificate is necessary for getting a passport. Issuance of PCC from local police often takes time. This delays the approval of the passport. This is the reason why the Ministry of External Affairs has decided to incorporate the facility of applying for PCC services in all online Post Office Passport Seva Kendras (POPSKs) across the country from 28 September.

In this regard, the Ministry of External Affairs has issued a statement. To address the problem of significant increase in applicants for Police Clearance Certificate, the Ministry has decided to integrate all Online Post Office Passport Service Centers in India with the facility to apply for Police Clearance Certificate, it said. According to this, applicants will be able to take advantage of this from September 28. The Ministry of External Affairs said that this move will not only benefit Indian citizens seeking jobs abroad, but will also fulfill other requirements of Police Clearance Certificate.
