Mumbai: The much awaited Kolhapur-Mumbai flight service (Kolhapur Mumbai Airlines) will start from today. The Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister will attend the online program. This service is being started by Sanjay Ghodawat’s company ‘Star Airways’.
The Mumbai-Kolhapur-Mumbai flight will be thrice a week. This flight will take place on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday of the week. The cost of a ticket from Kolhapur to Mumbai will be Rs 2,573. This flight service will be provided to passengers traveling between Kolhapur and Mumbai.
The flight will take off from Mumbai airport at 10.30 am and will reach Kolhapur at 11.20 am. It will be a journey of only 40 minutes. It will depart Kolhapur at 11.50 am and reach Mumbai at 12.45 pm. Passengers have been demanding for several days that flight service should be started on the Kolhapur-Mumbai route.

This service will be convenient for the passengers of Kolhapur as well as Sangli, Satara, Solapur districts. Currently there are flights from Kolhapur to Tirupati, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad. This service will save the time of the passengers.
