Kolhapur Crime News: A shocking incident has come to light in Kolhapur’s Kasba Bawa. A woman has been murdered by slitting her throat in Shahjinagar of Bavda. The deceased woman has been identified as Kavita Pramod Jadhav (age 44, resident of Tarle, District Radhanagari, District Kolhapur). The accused killed Kavita by slitting her throat. Rakesh Shamrao Sankpal (Age 32, Res. Shahjigar, Kasba Bawda), who was trying to escape after the murder, was chased and caught by police officer Kiran Bhosle. A case has been registered against Sankpal in Shahpuri police station regarding this murder.
According to the information received from the police, Rakesh, who lives in Line Bazar of Kasba Bawda, has a furniture business. Since Kavita was their relation, the two knew each other. Kavita’s husband had died four years ago. Since then she has been doing sewing and other work to support the family. After the death of accused Rakesh Sankpal’s husband, he had developed good relations with his house and visit. Both were coming towards each other. Accused Rakesh was crying and demanding to marry her as their relationship had escalated. But Kavita was not ready for marriage. There used to be frequent quarrels between the two regarding this matter.

Rakesh invited Kavita to his residence in Bawda today. After Kavita came to his house, he again asked her to marry him. But even today Kavita said that she cannot get married because she has children. Annoyed by her refusal to marry her, Rakesh stabs Kavita on her neck with a coyote. After learning that Kavita was dead, he left the body in the house and ran away. However, as soon as the police got information about this, Rakesh was caught and escaped.
After being taken into custody by the police, Rakesh gave a vague answer at first. However, as soon as the police showed the card, he confessed to the murder. A case of murder has been registered against Rakesh at Shahpuri police station and the police is investigating the matter.
