iPhone 14 series won’t get price hike, could start at $749 instead: TrendForce

iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 14 Max Possible Differences: What to Expect

Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 14 at $799 (64,000) and the Pro models are said to have a price hike of $100. However, a new report from market research firm TrendForce suggests that may not be the case. It is anticipated that the Cupertino company may adopt a more cautious approach in the face of rising global inflation and foreign exchange rates. The company predicts that Apple will probably not raise the price by $100. Instead, it suggests a standard iPhone 14 price starting at $749 (approx. 60,000).

According to TrendForce Report, Apple may be initially conservative with the pricing of the iPhone 14 series. The report suggests that the standard iPhone 14 could start at $749 (approx. 60,000) and the iPhone 14 Max model at $849 (approx. Rs. 68,000). Meanwhile, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max can be priced starting at $1,049 (approx. Rs. 83,000) and $1,149 (approx. Rs. 91,000).

Apple is expected to use a cautious pricing strategy to prevent negative impact on sales performance. The company is believed to be under pressure due to rising global inflation and foreign exchange rates.

Given the number of rumored changes and improvements to the iPhone 14 series, the company could take a hit here. These changes are expected to increase the initial cost due to significant increases in component costs.

Interestingly, the Pro models are expected to get the new Apple A16 Bionic chip. The iPhone Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will get an improved 48-megapixel wide-angle sensor on the back, which is a significant jump from the 12-megapixel sensor on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. The iPhone 14 series is believed to get high-capacity batteries.

The iPhone 14 series is expected to be unveiled during Apple’s special launch event on September 7.
