iOS 16 Release: Some Features Tipped to Be Exclusive for iPhone XS, Newer Models

iOS 16 is being released tonight for iPhone 8 and above, but it looks like the new iteration of iOS offers all the features that won’t be available for every supported iPhone model. According to a report, some iOS 16 features will be available for the iPhone XS and powered by Apple’s A12 Bionic chip or newer. Although the exact reason for this is not known, it is likely that certain features require more processing power than the A11 Bionic chip offers.

According to a Report According to 9to5Mac, some iOS 16 features will only be available for iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone SE (2020), iPhone SE (2022), iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro. Max, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max and the newly launched iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max It also mentions that some iOS 16 features are limited to recent models like the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 series.

Some of the features available for all the phones mentioned above include Live Text in Photos, Quick Look, Safari and videos that work in other apps. Live Text features Quick Actions, a new language for Live Text, emojis that can be inserted when sending messages with Siri, and visual look-up improvements.

iOS 16 features available for iPhone 11 and later models include Live Captions, which are only available in English (US) and English (Canada). Additionally, iOS 16 features exclusive to iPhone 13 models with foreground blur in portrait photos and improved quality when recording in cinematic mode.

Finally, some iOS 16 features are exclusive to the iPhone 14 model. The first is a cinematic mode in 4K that can now record 4K video at 24fps as well as 4K at 30fps. There’s also a new Action Mode that uses the iPhone 14 series’ sensors to significantly reduce shake, motion and vibration.
