The team winning the T20 World Cup 2022 will get $ 1.6 million i.e. about 13 crore 4 lakh rupees in Indian rupees. The team that loses in the final will get $800,000 i.e. around Rs 6 crore.
The teams reaching the semi-finals will also get money
Not only this, the teams entering the semi-finals are also going to be bright. The two teams that lose in the semi-finals will be awarded a $4 million prize. Apart from this, 40 thousand dollars will be given to the winning team in Super-12. Even teams that are eliminated from the Super-12 will not return empty handed. The losing teams will be given 70-70 thousand dollars.
16 teams participated in the tournament
16 teams have participated in the T20 World Cup this year. The qualifying matches will be played from October 16 to October 21. Sri Lanka, West Indies, Namibia, Netherlands, UAE, Ireland, Scotland and Zimbabwe will play in the qualifier round. The main event will be played from October 22.
