Maharashtra cabinet meeting: The state government has decided to fill up 20 thousand posts in the police constable cadre of Maharashtra Home Department. All the vacant posts in Police constable cadre are exempted from recruitment restriction to be filled in 2021 and a total of twenty thousand posts are to be filled. This decision of the government has brought great relief to the unemployed youth of the state. Along with this, Chippi Airport in Sindhudurg district will be named Nath Pai Airport. State cabinet meeting was held today. Many important decisions were taken in this meeting.
Summary decision in cabinet meeting on Tuesday 27 September 2022
• Fortified rice will be distributed in the state in two phases – (Food and Civil Supplies Department)
• Vidarbha, Marathwada and rest of Maharashtra will be reorganized into the three development boards of the state. (planning Department)
• Plan for creation of infrastructure facilities for the administrative work of Urban Development Department and State Town Planning Organization – (Urban Development Department)
• Exemption from recruitment restriction to fill up all vacancies in Police Constable cadre in 2021. A total of twenty thousand posts will be filled- (Home Department)
• Starting 72 hostels for post-matriculation students of Other Backward Classes (Other Backward Bahujan Welfare Department).
• Now 50 students will be benefited from the scholarship scheme for higher education abroad for meritorious boys and girls of IMAV, Bijabhaj and Bimapara category – (Other Backward Bahujan Welfare Department)
• Implement a revised scholarship scheme for minority students pursuing higher education. Scholarship amount increased to 50 thousand – (Minority Development Department)
• In case of death or permanent disability of the officers of the Forest Department in case of fire, attack of animals, attack by smugglers and poachers, or in case of permanent disability – (Forest Department)
• Seventh Pay Commission applicable to full librarians, physical education instructors in government medical, dental, ayurveda colleges in the state – (Medical Education Department)
• Decision to implement revised pay to judicial officers of secondary courts recommended by the Second National Judicial Pay Commission – (Law and Justice Department)
•Decision to withdraw Maharashtra Public Universities Act 2021 – (Department of Higher and Technical Education)
• The Maharashtra Unaided Private Vocational Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Fee) Act Amendment Bill will be withdrawn. Re-enacted with amendments (Department of Higher and Technical Education)
• Exemption of stamp duty on the value of 50 acres of land transferred from Air India to Air India Engineering Services Limited –
