Emily in Paris season 3 now has a release date: December 21. At its online-only event Tudum 2022, Netflix announced that the Lily Collins-led rom-com series will return in December — nearly a year after the arrival of season 2, while we have Paris Season Emily in 3 has a humorous 30-second teaser trailer where Emily Cooper (Collins) makes a big life decision. It’s a bit of a turn off, I have to admit, as you’ll soon find out. The future of the Netflix series is already set in stone, as Emily in Paris was renewed for seasons 3 and 4 earlier in the year.
“This is the hardest decision I have ever made. It’s just what I want to do,” Emily says via voiceover at the beginning of the first Emily in Paris season 3 trailer. Meanwhile, we’re given glimpses of the men she loves and the women she’s worked with. (Lucien Laviscount, who’s been playing Emily’s love interest for season 3, shows up for a split second.) But it’s all distracting — Emily isn’t talking about a larger task or a personal choice. She is talking about her hair. Emily is having a blast in Season 3 — a whim, because “this is Paris.”

Mindy’s (Ashley Park) reaction when she walks into their bathroom is something we can all relate to (“Emily, nooo!”), but what’s done is done. Emily must accept the choices she made. The rest of the teaser trailer for Emily in Paris Season 3 features Emily wearing several new outfits and talking about Paris — frankly, half the reason the show exists — before Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) interrupts the montage and asks, “Are you okay, Emily? “
“They’re just bangs, okay,” Emily barks at Gabrielle in protest. “Sometimes, people cut the bangs when everything is fine.” I think someone is trying to convince themselves that everything is fine. The first Emily in Paris season 3 trailer ends there, with the release date and season 3 written in French (“Saison Trois”).
Laviscount will reprise his role in season 3 as Emily’s love interest, Alfie, an English banker whom Emily met in her French class in season 2. There were no major additions to Emily in Paris Season 3.
