Election Commission of India's reaction on Shiv Sena and Eknath Shinde

Mumbai: Central Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar has replied that Shiv Sena’s decision will be taken in a transparent manner. This is the first reaction after the Supreme Court gave the green signal to the Central Election Commission to decide on Shiv Sena. He was speaking in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

will be decided on the basis of majority

Following the direction of the Election Commission of the Supreme Court, the Central Election Commission will decide who should be given the election symbol of the Shiv Sena party. It is a history that this decision of the party is taken on the basis of majority i.e. through majority rule. In such a situation, there is a possibility that on which side the office-bearers of Shiv Sena are taking this decision.

For this, notices have been issued to both the groups by the Election Commission. Both the groups will answer this. After that the hearing will start. Necessary documents or evidence will be collected. After that it will be decided who is Shiv Sena or who is the election symbol of the party.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde ran for the first time in the Central Election Commission. The Election Commission will have to decide on this. Earlier, the Election Commission had directed the Thackeray group to submit their documents. The Thackeray group had demanded expansion twice. Shiv Sena had demanded that the proceedings of the Election Commission be adjourned as the fight is in the Supreme Court.

In a big relief to the Shinde group, the Supreme Court has said that the Central Election Commission is a constitutional body and we will not suspend its proceedings. Now after the green signal of the Supreme Court, the Central Election Commission will decide on the party symbol of Shiv Sena. It remains to be seen whether another extension for submission of documents will be sought from the Thackeray group.

It is expected that Shiv Sena’s decision will be taken in the next month or one and a half months. This decision is likely to be taken before the upcoming Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections.

A copy of the Shinde group’s claim will be obtained from the Thackeray group

It is known that the Thackeray group will request the Election Commission to obtain a copy of the claims and documents submitted earlier by the Shinde group to the Election Commission. This is the first step taken by Shiv Sena in the fight for the Election Commission. The process of filing documents on behalf of the Thackeray group will begin after the Shinde group’s claims are investigated.
