Ed summons five Congress leaders for questioning in the National Herald case

National Herald Case: ED has summoned five Congress leaders for questioning in the National Herald case. The ED has asked these leaders to appear at the ED headquarters in Delhi tomorrow i.e. on Tuesday. It includes leaders Anjan Kumar, Mohammad Ali Shabbir, Geeta Reddy, Sudarshan Reddy and Gali Anil.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Sonia Gandhi donated to Young India Pvt Ltd when they were directors. ED sources said that the ED has summoned these leaders to give details. Earlier on Sunday, the ED had summoned Karnataka Congress President DK Shivakumar for questioning in the ongoing money laundering probe at the Congress party-owned National Herald. The ED has asked him to appear in Delhi on October 7. The summons came when the India Jodi Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi entered Karnataka. Shivakumar has also participated in the Yatra. The Yatra has entered Karnataka on 30 September.

The ED has now summoned several Congress leaders from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for questioning in the Herald case. Young Indian is the owner of the National Herald newspaper. In August, the ED had raided dozens of places besides sealing the office of Young Indian.

These leaders were also questioned

In the last few months, the ED has questioned senior Congress leaders like Congress President Sonia Gandhi, MPs Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and Pawan Bansal in connection with the National Herald money laundering case. In this case, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi were questioned for several days. The Congress had staged a nationwide protest against the ED’s action. During this, the police had detained many Congress leaders.
