The American internet service company said Kiwi Farms posed an “immediate threat to human life” and that “targeted threats” had increased over the past two days. Cloudflare’s decision comes as the harassment campaign against transgender YouTuber and Twitch streamer, Clara Sorrenti (aka Keffles), escalates. A website created and operated by Joshua Connor Moon, Sorrenti is leading a campaign to pressure Cloudflare to drop Kiwi Farms.
In a blog post on Sunday, Cloudflare declared He had blocked Kiwi Farm. “This is an extraordinary decision for us and, given CloudFlare’s role as an Internet infrastructure provider, a risky decision that we are not comfortable with,” CEO Matthew Prince wrote.
“However, the rhetoric and specific, targeted threats on the Kiwi Farms site have escalated over the past 48 hours to such an extent that we believe there is an unprecedented emergency and immediate threat to human life, the likes of which we have not seen before at Kiwi Farms or any other situation.
