Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is offering early access to its campaign section. Those who pre-order the digital edition of the game will be able to play the single-player component for a week starting October 20, regardless of platform. Furthermore, the release date of the much-anticipated Warzone 2 has leaked, with Activision Blizzard reportedly eyeing a November 16 launch. Meanwhile, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 launches on October 28 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series S/X, Xbox One and PC.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign early access
Players who pre-order Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Remake) can experience the globe-trotting operation early on, as you take control of Task Force 141, a special forces unit led by Soap McTavish. Players will take part in high-octane missions set in Europe, Asia and America, as they hunt down Vladimir Makarov, the leader of the Russian Ultranationalist Party.
This is also the first time Activision has offered early access to the campaign, as previous instances only allowed multiplayer access prior to launch. Offshore seas, including underwater combat and stealth missions, have been completely recreated from the ground up, featuring improved graphics quality through photogrammetry technology. Pre-ordering Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 grants early access to exclusive weapon skins and multiplayer betas coming this September.
PS4 and PS5 users get early access to the multiplayer Modern Warfare 2 beta, running from September 16-17, followed by the open beta phase, the following day, from September 18-20. Pre-orders on PC (Battle.net) and Xbox grant early access from September 22-23, with an open beta set for September 24-26. The second beta period also serves as a cross-play test, allowing PlayStation users to join in as well.
Pre-ordering Rs. 6,699 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Vault Edition offers perks like Red Team 141, letting you play as four main operators — Ghost, Farah, Price and Soap — in multiplayer. A Season One Battle Pass is also included, which allows you to skip 50 levels and claim all rewards in addition to some special cosmetics.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 release date leaked
Image hovering above Wow subreddit Warzone 2 and World of Warcraft: Dragonflight launch dates allegedly revealed. The since-deleted image shows an internal document from Activision Blizzard, listing the “readiness level” for their upcoming game. According to leaks, the Warzone sequel will launch on November 16, a few weeks after the global release of Modern Warfare 2 Remake.
And while random leaks from Reddit should be taken with a grain of salt, the image details the September 26th release for World of Warcraft Classic’s Wrath of the Lich King expansion. blizzard declared News of the pre-patch launch was reported late last night, confirming it, but circulating on Reddit hours before the image was taken down. The WoW Classic: Wrath of the Lich King pre-patch will go live on August 30, allowing players to test out the new additions.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 launches on October 28 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series S/X, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam and Battle.net. More details on this will be revealed at the Call of Duty: Next Digital event, set for September 15.
