Diwali Bonus: Diwali Bonus has been announced for Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC Employees), Municipal Corporation Teachers, BEST employees. 22 thousand 500 rupees will be given to all these employees and a salary to health workers will be given as Diwali bonus. State Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced this on Thursday.

A meeting was held at the Sahyadri State Guest House under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister regarding the bonus of class IV employees of Mumbai Municipal Corporation as well as teachers and non-teaching staff of aided schools. In this meeting, Diwali bonus of employees was decided. With this decision of the state government, teachers, health workers including 93 thousand employees of Mumbai Municipal Corporation and 29 thousand employees of BEST will get Diwali bonus.

The employees of Mumbai Municipal Corporation have done a good job in the difficult situation of Kovid. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that expenditure should be on development works but those who do good work should be encouraged. Celebrate Diwali with gaiety. But everyone should work wholeheartedly for the people of Mumbai.

In today’s meeting, MP Rahul Shewale, Mumbai Municipal Corporation Commissioner and Administrator Dr. I. s. Chahal, Additional Commissioner Ashwini Bhide, former MLA Kiran Pavaskar, officers of various employees unions of the Municipal Corporation, Sandeep Deshpande, Shashank Rao, Santosh Dhuri, Uttam Gade, Ashok Jadhav and officers of various departments of the municipality were present.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said, the employees of the Municipal Corporation have done a good job in the dire situation of Kovid. Doctors, all staff have played an important role in keeping the situation of Kovid-19 under control in Mumbai. should be spent on development works. But those who do well should be encouraged. A balance has to be maintained between development works and welfare schemes for our employees. Our employees and citizens are ours.

Announcing Diwali bonus, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said, “Celebrate Diwali with joy. The development works related to the Mumbai Municipal Corporation and the obstacles related to the employees will be resolved on priority basis. Everyone should now work for Mumbaikars with all their heart. Everyone, from engineers, must ensure that the roads and infrastructure works are of high quality as per the wishes of the citizens.

The meeting also discussed about providing accommodation for class IV employees under ‘Shram Safalay’ and ‘Shelter’ schemes. The Chief Minister also directed to organize a separate coordination meeting with various development agencies to make such houses available in large numbers.
