Mumbai: Maratha great Ajinkya Rahane, who has been out of Team India for a long time, is not getting a chance in Team India. Despite this, Rahane’s stature in domestic cricket has not diminished. The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy is starting from October 11 and Mumbai’s first match will be against Mizoram. Mumbai will play all their matches in Rajkot and Ajinkya Rahane will lead a team full of players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Prithvi Shaw and Sarfaraz Khan.
Mumbai Cricket Association’s senior selection committee led by Salil Ankola has selected all-rounder Shivam Dubey in the Mumbai team. Shardul Thakur, Shams Mulani, Tanush Kotian, Dhawal Kulkarni and Tushar Deshpande have also been included in the bowling.
