Anti-drone system: In the last few days, there has been an increase in the cases of cross-border drug smuggling in India. At the same time, the danger of drones has also increased. Therefore, now in view of the threat of drug smuggling and drones, the Defense Ministry is preparing an anti-drone system. An anti-drone system is being set up to prevent drug smuggling and border drone attacks.

The counter drone system has been displayed at the headquarters of BPRD under the Ministry of Home Affairs in Delhi. The anti-drone system is being developed with the help of Godrej, a company known for its safes. Godrej Company has developed a special anti-UAV drone system.

Godrej Company has tied up with a French company for this counter drone system in India. This anti-drone system looks like a special cannon. This system is named Chimera. The company’s senior manager Suman Mohapatra has given this information to ABP News.

According to the Godrej company, the Chimera system has the capability to truck any drone. This system jams the radio frequency (RF) of the drone. With the help of this, the enemy drone will either fall on the ground or will fly back to your area. The stable version of the Chimera has a range of 4 to 5 km. This system can be installed at any sensitive building or rally site.

According to Suman Mohapatra of Godrej, the cost of Kalpana Man Pad Anti Drone is Rs 3-4 crore. Some security agencies of the country have started using it in VVIP security. The company declined to disclose the names of the security agencies for security reasons. Drugs and weapons are being smuggled from Pakistan through drones across the border. BSF is facing many difficulties in destroying these drones. An anti-drone system like Chimera can be very effective in such situations. Apart from this, the danger of drone attack also remains. Last year, the Jammu airbase was attacked with a drone. That’s why this mechanism is very important.

There have been many incidents of drone attacks on VVIPs abroad. That is why the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD) has set the theme of the 4th Superintendent of Police Conference in Delhi as Cyber-Crime and Counter Drones. A counter drone exhibition was also organized during this period. The two-day (29-30 September) conference and exhibition was inaugurated by Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai.
