Ankita Murder Case: Every day new information is coming out about the murder of Ankita Bhandari in Uttarakhand. Ankita’s final postmortem report has now surfaced. In this postmortem it has been learned that Ankita died due to drowning. Along with this, four to five marks of injury have been found on Anta’s body. Ankita was to be cremated on Sunday, but after the preliminary post-mortem report came, the family stopped the cremation and the family demanded a second post-mortem. However, later the family performed the last rites of Ankita.
Ankita Bhandari, 19, from Jharkhand had gone missing a few days ago. Ankita’s body was found in a canal in Rishikesh on Saturday. After that the police arrested three people including BJP leader Pulkit Arya by registering a case of murder.
The resort where Ankita Bhandari used to work as a receptionist belongs to Pulkit Arya. Pulkit Arya is the son of BJP leader Vinod Arya. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had ordered the formation of an SIT to probe the matter. The SIT has issued a press release in this regard today. It said that in view of the seriousness of the case related to the murder of Ankita Bhandari, SIT has been constituted on 24 September 2022 under the chairmanship of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Crime and Law and Order Renuka Devi of Uttarakhand.
SIT started investigation
SIT officials inspected the spot. Also, Ankita’s postmortem report has been received from AIIMS and it has been shown to the family members. All the evidence found from the spot as well as electronic evidence like CCTV footage, mobile CDR etc. is being analyzed and a thorough study is being done.
On behalf of the SIT, it was said that the main witnesses of the case are being questioned by the resort staff. Forensic team has inspected the spot. A thorough investigation is being done after getting the list of people staying at the resort on the day of the incident. Action is being taken to take them into police custody to get vital evidence from the accused.
